About Us
Scam Watch is a national cybersecurity movement founded by Jocel de Guzman and Art Samaniego which was institutionalized by the government (DICT, CICC, NPC, OP and NTC) on July 14, 2023 as the national citizen arm to educate Filipinos nationwide against cyber fraud.
Although PHSecureCheck was established only recently, it only began its online public outreach in June this year, it shares the same anti-scam mission as Scam Watch Pilipinas. The organization is dedicated to conducting in-depth research on fraudulent platforms, analyzing scam tactics and risk patterns, and continuously issuing public security alerts to help more Filipinos recognize scams and protect themselves from financial loss. PHSecureCheck and Scam Watch Pilipinas is not an event, industry club, or just a mere campaign but a cybersecurity movement that aims to address the cybersecurity knowledge gap from the grassroots level. (Though we have campaigns and events.)
PHSecureCheck and Scam Watch Pilipinas does not get funding from the government or solicit money from the public but from select members from the private sector with the same vision and mission.
